The very first wedding I photographed was at the Mackenzie King Estate, way back in the spring of 2002. A lot has changed since then, but Gatineau Park remains a fantastic location for wedding photos. I haven’t been back to MKE for a wedding but I’ve photographed engagements on the King Mountain trail and taken bride and groom portraits at Pink Lake. If you’re in the area (perhaps with a reception at the Chateau Cartier) consider adding time for a visit. It’s a unique spot, with vistas that can’t be pictured anywhere else.
